For National Crime Victims Rights Week 2021, Loved Ones (aka LOVS) hosted a virtual panel discussion with fellow victim rights advocates. Listen and learn as we discuss this year’s theme, Support Victims. Build Trust. Engage Communities., and how we as agencies can work together in order to provide victims and their loved ones with the best resources possible.
This video describes the Office of Victims of Crime’s mission and major responsibilities to enhance victims’ rights and services for all victims across the United States. The video also provides an overview of the Crime Victims Fund, describes how funding is distributed to the states to provide direct and accessible services, and discusses OVC’s commitment to professionalization of the field through developing new programs; training and technical assistance; and disseminating information about model programs that benefit all victims of crime.
