Loved Ones Victim Services (LOVS) knows the devastation that loss brings. Since 1985, we have stood with families and individuals shattered by homicide, violent acts, sudden and unexpected losses, and various forms of trauma, offering the support, counseling, and resources needed to face the unimaginable.
LOVS is dedicated to Lifting those in crisis, Offering comfort and care, Voicing advocacy for the unheard, and Serving with compassion. Through unwavering support and resources, we strive to bring hope and healing to individuals and families navigating grief, trauma, and hardship.
LOVS envisions a world where every hurting soul finds solace, strength, and support. By Lifting, Offering, Voicing, and Serving, we create a compassionate community where healing is nurtured, resilience is built, and no one walks their journey alone.
In honor of this year’s theme ‘Survivor Voices: Elevate. Engage. Effect Change.’ we asked survivors

LOVS recognizes the urgent need to support young people of color who have witnessed or experienced violence, and or are triggered by environmental stressors such as impoverished or violent neighborhoods. In Los Angeles County, African American and Latino youth (ages 10-18) are up to 18 times more likely to be victims of violent crime than their White peers—yet more than 90% receive NO support to heal from these traumatic experiences. SHIFT was created to change that.
